What a pig, great job. I heard of a 9 pound pig coming out of a certain lake. Guess it was true.

You mean an IFGA record for 4 lb test?  I don't think states keep fish/line records do they?

Yep...it was definitely his moment....fishing for perch in a lake with no known walleye, hooks a 9.25lb eye on a perch rod with a 25 yr old 'old school' reel with no drag spooled with 4 lb florocarbon line and lands the fish thru the ice.  Could not have happened to a better kid!!  Now dad has to pony up the $$$$ for a mount!!!

Congrats spring bobber!  Thats one memory that you'll never forget. I wish I could have been there but that's the way it goes. I can't wait to see it on your wall.  That pole would look good next to the mount if you could incorporate it somehow.  It couldn't have happened to a better kid. Congrats again!  You have one hell of a fisherman as a son Wax!!

Very nice fish, and a great story right up until the whiteout the background part. I may catch hell for it, but even if I give a gps coordinate, you still gotta catch the fish. I believe in the share the info thing, where when and what color. Not that I,m asking, but I dont get helping other people with info. I,m just a jack that way... I believe its helped me catch fish when no others can at times, Karma.  No malice intend brother, great fish and story, congrats @)
