How big are they JT?  It is hard to tell how big the crappies are not knowing how big you are.  They look to be 12"+ fish...did you measure them?  BTW...you are killing us northern boys as most of our water is still open, or not safe due to the wind and snow, which we are forcast to get more of starting Saturday - Tuesday.

Nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

It was a tuff bite today, took alot of work to even find a fish. You find it you better hook it,or sit for 20 mins.Alot of fish chase it up,even get some a ft from ice and take off.went thru several baits fnally tied on a big marmooska and still had to keep it down,Craps came off the bottom and nailed it.Was a real good time and weather was perfect.Really hopin the temps combined with the rain dont hurt us... How big of a pond is this?  I've always heard ponds 'should be' a minimum of 2 acres to support a healthy Crappie fishery.

I feel your pain SkeeterJeff and Flattop.  I can't get out yet this year and with this storm I probably won't until at least Wednesday.

Hit the Yard today, bite was slow. You had to callem in and talk all sweet to them to bite.. Brawler did a pretty good job of it..

Ice was sucky at the edge and took a little hit in middle, spudded a few times and decided we could get it done with a plank,,after all the snow hit,we could really tell how bad edge was,it was all wet about 2 foot out.Next couple days should lock it back tight and gain..

First of all, thanks to Hoosier for putting me on the Front Yard this morning for a few hours.  JT schooled me pretty good.  The first one came about 15 minutes after we arrived and the second one was no more than 15 minutes later.

I picked up this decent 9" gill a few minutes later.

Picked up another 8" one.  Ready to meet up with the filet knife.

Thanks again JT, I really enjoyed it.  Those are a couple of slab crappie!!
