Do you have to trailer it to the lake, or do you live on the water?

My uncle and his sons built one. Not sure the dimensions but it's about the size of my two car garage. They have it up on Lake Mille Lacs all year long. It's an awesomely large and nice permanent in the winter time and in the summer it gets pulled to shore and it doubles as a cabin! Apparently there's a few places up there that provide that service.

Actually a friend of mine floated it to the lake with his Transport, But now that it is there he pulls it out with his track machine. He has had the business on the lake for pulling huts on and off the lake for years now.

That sounds like a much better job than welding! ;D

There are black tubes protruding up from the floor.  I guess those are the holes.  There are also reels above -the holes near the ceiling.

Yeah, those black tubes protruding from the floor are where the holes are. I'm sure when it's out on the ice, they punch the holes and then slide those tubes down into the ice.
