Knocked off the skunk
« on: Feb 22, 2021, 07:15 PM »
For the last week or so I've been in a laker rut. I've had lots of lookers and chasers and some bumps but no fish on the ice. Went out today to a spot on my lake that was supposed to be 50 fow according to navionics. I landed in 12 fow went 20 feet over and found 25 fow. Chummed a bit and dropped down my jig tipped with sucker meat. The snow came in and boom landed this guy. Nothing to write home about but felt nice to land one.

Every fish is a good fish!

Hey, like your sig says, every fish is a good fish

Fish have been really finicky out here all season. I've had to change my tactics up over what has consistently worked for me on the same ponds in past years.  My outings have still mostly been dinkfests, but small fish always beats no fish in my book. 🤷‍♂️

Nice work Digs.

Sounds like your Navionics works about as well as mine (see my thread aptly titled "Navionics")

No it wasn't. I tied on one of AJs for the glow effect.

Nice work,
that Clam Mack rod you are using works great, i was afraid it would be too stiff but i noticed after a few hooksets with lights rods, the back bone was needed to drive the hook home

Just got this rod from some kid on facebook. I like it a lot. Definitely buries that hook.
