Ice Flies -- Scuds

My "go-to" fly on soft and moving waters is a scud, but I understand they can be pretty darned successful on hard water too.
Does anyone have first hand knowledge, and or a favorite tying recipe?
You'll find a decent recipe and pretty good instructions here:
https://1source.basspro.com/index.php/component/k2/69-ice-fishing/3493-outfish-ice-jigs-with-this-hand-tied-fly
.
If you've gotta better recipe, post a link.

Welcome to the site! I have had great luck with a bead head dropper over the years.
