I'm looking at buying at flasher or a sonar ice package. Mostly for lake trout so deeper water applications. Can anyone recommend one over the other? Thanks

I had two marcum lx7s, the first one was faulty out of the box the second one started freezing up and restarting by itself after one season. I then switched to a cheaper but seems more reliable humminbird ice 35 it’s lasted great very simple and dependable. I now have a ice 55 and it’s just a little better then 35 as far as features goes. So myself would recommend humminbird. I herd good things about vexilar as well.

I’ve had a marcum lx3tc for about 4 years now and it works great . Never any problems and still on the original battery!

I recommend Marcum but am a little biased towards them since they are the only flashers I've owed.  Have had an LX5 for 7 years and lx3 for a couple.
