Anyone have any info on the ice conditions on Horsethief.

I was wondering the same thing... From the looks of this report it doesn't look like there's any ice yet..

But, by the looks of Payette lake, there should be some forming soon...

i was in cascade yesterday so i thought i would head up to horsetheif. the lake is completely iced over. i was able to walk in front of the dock without hearing any ice cracking. didnt have a spud so i dont know what the thickness was but i would say 2-4.

That's good to hear if this cold snap keeps up we should be in the 5 inch range by this weekend.

Thanks for the report. With 5 inches I bet somebody's fished it. Anybody heard for sure?

Good weekend on the ice. The ice was 9 inches of clear blue pretty much everywhere I checked. A buddy and I started fishing around 9 and were limited out before lunch both days not much size to them mainly 12-13 inch range. Only two other groups out on Saturday a few more today.

Anybody been to or on Horsethief in the last few days???  Report at Sportsmans in Boise says it is slushy and giving tips on bank fishing...not sure what to make of it...maybe confused translation from reporter to poster maybe??
