Title: Velcro Straps for Ice Cleats?
Post by: jww311 on Nov 30, 2013, 09:05 PM
Anyone ever tried using velcro straps to help secure your Ice Cleats to your boots...I just ordered a pair of Kahtoola Micro spikes but I am concerned about how well they will stay on my boot hence why I looking for a set of velcro straps to secure them over the top of my boots.  If anyone knows where to find this please let me know or if it is even neccesary.

you won't need anything to hold them on, I'm on my third year with them and yet to them have come off , but if your looking for velcro , go to a fabric shop

If you went with Kahtoolas, you have nothing to worry about! They fit snug. You actually have to stretch them to get them on. They will barely budge. You won't need Velcro. There's a reason they aren't cheap!

I have no doubts they will not move once i put them on, however, i wore a pair of ice spikes that constantly were falling off last year it was very annoying so i am just looking for some extra insurance against that happening rather be safe than sorry especially running after tip ups
