Spoke with an ECON that was going out to check licences there today, he stated that the sign says D.E.C on it and is not a D.E.C sign. He also said it is a 10' right of way, legal to use.
Its looks like the sign didnt last long, i think dec took it down, i saw his suv at ship n shore bar when i left, also be very cautious as i witnessed someone go thru today. I would stay off it for now.Murph
ya know wouldn't hurt if a few people just stoped and talked to the gentleman ... i know people got in his wood last year and tossed it so they could get accross without getting wet feet! i also know i picked up alot of trash right threw there .... to be honest if i had people walking near my home grabbing wood i would be upset too
Trapper....someone lifted up your rock and you crawled out RG
thats true except any sign would be torn down this is a town owned culvert pipe between to parcels of land , and the people using this right of way are paying another land owner to park , this debate has gone on for years and the town always has backed the fisherman ... the problem is this land owner has some honest complaints .... like the noise like the trash and like the wood being used .... interesting note the DEC uses this access to get on the water also ..... as sportssmen if we want it to stay open ... we have to pick up after the slops we have to tell people hey keep it down ! we have to police it a little you see the mans wood moved put it back or at least knock on his door and offer to help!
