Monster lake trout

Hi im looking for a place that isnt the size of lake Winnipeg or Ontario for some big lake trout when ice season rolls around. Please help me thanks.

How far do you want to travel?  What fish would you call a monster?
We're born, we live for a while, and then we die.  Sounds like a good reason to go ice fishing.

Well id like to keep it under 3hrs and say 30 inch plus fish

30" fish we call dinner up here in De North EH!!!
True giants are 50"+ fish. :)
But for some dang decent trout down your way head to Lake Nipigon.

Lake George gives up lots of 30 inch fish every year.  You could also try Simcoe in Canada. 
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,
Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain.

Ok thanks at one time otsego used to be good for lakers from what ive seen/heard but not so more. Sad because im only a hour from there

anywhere on lake ontario's bays chaumont, or sodus and  if it freezes you can fish right out on lake in front of mud bay towards the st lawrence but bring a knowledgeable person ice can get funny by the current seen a couple slob lakers caught out there last year

Ya thats 29 hrs away from me haha. On my bucket list but will be awhile.
