That's a difficult question and my answer depends entirely on where I live.  If I'm in the Missoula area, I'm going to Georgetown, as the scenery alone makes this lake worth fishing...not to mention the opportunity at a hot trout bite and (maybe) a great day of salmon fishing.  If I'm in the Kalispell area, I'm probably headed to Lake Mary Ronan; when the perch bite is on, Mary Ronan is simply phenomenal.  If I'm in the Helena area, I'm likely headed to Holter or Canyon Ferry.  Welcome to the community!

I saw a bumper sticker that said 'Work is for people that don't know how to fish'. I retired a little over 3 years ago and go fishing whenever I want, long as the wife says it's ok LOL. I've about given up on fishing on weekends, too many damn people.

Since I would most likely be by myself I would wander around Hauser Lake with my dog with the hopes of finding some perch and a few big trout.

If I had a buddy to go with I would probably post up at Nevada Creek Reservoir.

Welcome and great first post!

Great post...and hands down Fort Peck.  Weather it be boating or Ice fishing its by far the best place to go in my opinion.  You never know whats on the other end of the 6 lines you get to fish with.
