Lake Lenore 2022-2023
« on: Nov 21, 2022, 05:17 AM »
Fished lake Lenore yesterday the ice was good for walking at 9 to ten inches. Not much snow so I recommend ice cleats.
I had heard the Walleye were biting so I drilled a bunch of holes from 7 to 24 foot depths. I got Skunked! There were a couple of other people fishing not for away and I witnessed their Jaw-Jacker go off and they landed a nice Walleye possibly in the 4-5 pound range. I thought this might be a good sign but i was mistaken the fish had lockjaw. I didn't stay for the evening bite because i wanted to catch the end of the Grey Cup game. Felt good to put in a day on the ice.
Old fishermen never die, they just smell that way.

How is the lake for access and driving around? Thinking about heading out. Thanks!
