lots of waterfowl keeping spots open and this warm weather isn't helping. I have been on the ice twice this year, Sunday 11/20 and 11/23 and since then this warm spell last few days has really taken a toll on the ice. lots of water on top and with the geese keeping other spots open its hard to tell what's good and what's bad.

I wont be going out again until things firm up some more.

It definitely seems like the ice gets better the farther west you go. MN lakes are wide open. Around the border looks sketchy. I saw people out near Waubay last night on the ice, ice looked ok, not great. I haven't checked any ice thicknesses since the warm up. Overall I'd say by the weekend ice will be ok for walking, but obviously be careful. I'm also seeing quite a few geese around keeping spots open.
