Good outing

Made my way out this morning, arrived at location to see my usual spot taken by a bobhouse, tried a different area by a inlet. Paid off, had constant action on little brookies which to me are always fun, I love the colors. Jawjacker went off and saw it lurch forward and start peeling drag (I always have my drag light on my jacker rod until I start reeling it in). I knew it was something decent. After a nice little fight, I had it at the hole. Was thrashing like crazy and was afraid I’d loose it so just reached in and grabbed it by the gills(I know not proper handling, but I intended on keeping this for eating). A nice 18inch brookie. Was caught on yellow tube. About five feet of water off from the inlet. Weather was great, no wind and beautiful views of the mountains. Hope everyone is having a good season so far!
