Whats your opinion of a get together somewhere on the ice in or nearby Cedar Rapids for sometime in January?

depending on the day I'm in, if you guys are thinking a Saturday or Sunday the sooner the day is established the better as I would have to request it off.

I would be game as well... I fish Macbride a lot and know where there are some good holes, although I wouldn't mind someone who knows where to find perch at pleasant creek. People keep telling me that they can catch them and I am convinced you have to go to spirit to get any of them. I catch enough crappie and walleye during open water seasons I could use some perch

Maybe the new pond they just made public off of the cedar? Mohawk? Macbride? We have all fished the Mac. and I'm sure it would be good fishing but myself I would like to try the public. How's about the 8-9 of jan. I don't care where. Just ideas and dates...

The 8th would be cool I would just need to ask for it off. Anyone else like that date before I go and try to burn a vacation day on it.

OK. You all peaked my interest. I have never fished Pleasant Creek, soft or hard, & was thinking about making a trip this year. So, is it a dead sea or what? I don't get too good of vives from what I read. Is it hard to fish in the winter? Thanks.

I'll try to make it.. last weekend before classes start again so an outing would be nice.. I'd rather go to macbride than pleasant creek(palo)..

I believe there is a fisheree at Union Grove on the 8th, if that's right, I'll probably stay home and support the local one. Just too many things going on. Seems like I don't have much planned ever, then next thing I know, every weekend has something.

Oh well, it's all good, as long as I'm fishing someplace.

Does the 8th or 9th of January work for pretty much everyone? I vote for MacBride. Do we wanna meet at the parking lot by the beach? I am planning on doing smoe cooking on the ice if it's not too cold.
