By the cemetary on the east side of the lake and there are some cribs on the northern end. Likely permanent shacks in that area to give you a target.
This lake is fished the same every year, I've never put in the time to venture out from the "normal" spots and they seem to produce fairly well. Just follow the permanents, hop around and don't forget it's only a 10 fish limit.
Never fished Tainter
Altoona in Eau Claire has been pretty good this year for perch and walleye.
