Marcum LX-9, same camera as the VS625/825SD, best in the market imo...

I got one from China on Ebay.  LC display, light , compact and I also got a inline recorder.   Had a Cabelas  pos that I returned.  ct display that never worked that THEY REPLACED TWICE. I finally said enough is enough and sent it back.   Then   I got the one from China  cheaper than any one around here. and even with the recorder way cheaper .  Had it three years and no complaints.

Marcum hands down.  I have two of them; a 485C and a Recon.  I think Marcum, Vex and Aqua Vu have comparable cameras and monitors in full size cameras but the Marcum case is much more well thought out and functional than Vex or Aqua Vu.  The Recon is in a class by itself for more of a "pocket" size camera.

Aqua Vu Micro 5 with the dvr feature.  Love the ability to view videos later with brews and buds.

Do a ebay search for underwater cameras for fishing.  There are several options.  Geo.

marcum lx-9. thinking about the marcum recon 5+. they both have a purpose. like the lx9 is better suited for sitting and fishing being it is large and heavy, while the recon is better for standing and scouting being it is tiny and fits a pocket.
so get one of each.

and then there is the lighting part of cameras you need to know. aqua-vu uses infrared only. marcum uses bright white led only except on their recons, they use both types on them.

3300 is right on the money.  I run a Marcum 485c for "sitting and fishing" and the Recon for, well, Reconning.  The "485" type camera has a really well thought out case which is a big difference maker for me.  The screen flips up and it is really easy to see (vs. Vex who sort of buries their screen in the case...that gets old really fast...trust me).  The Vex screen is also basically right down near the ice vs. the elevated screen you get on the Marcum.  Marcum's case also has storage space where the battery, the camera itself and the cable all go into when you pack up.  Vex uses a really bad sort of bag system.  The cord spool hangs off the side of the bag and there is another bag that hangs off the side that holds the camera.  I'm a big fan of Vex overall but Marcum has them nailed when it comes to their camera cases.  Both units have great picture and screen quality.

I love my LX9. I bought one of the Lithium 10Ah batteries and it lasts at least twice as long and is a lot lighter. I use the heck out of it.

Marcum VS625 and AquaVu Micro 2 plus.
