off topic but... got a boat and want to fish lake erie this spring, how far out do I need to go in Michigan waters to catch them right after ice out?

prolly 2-4 miles

2-4miles sounds about right, anywhere from 12-20 fow early but they will also be moving up river to spawn so u can head them off if u launch from lake erie metro park and u can fish either the river or lake
