Bolles Harbor/lake Erie
« on: Jan 15, 2019, 09:23 PM »
Anyone have an ice report from Bolles or any other perch spots? Not looking to steal anybody's location or secret spot but I'm curious how the ice down there is doing.

Check out YouTube. There's a guy that puts out a lake St. Clair ice report every couple of days.

St clair river is plumiting in temp to 33.8*f right now.  There is fishable ice I hear on some of the smaller lakes and canals of larger lakes. . As for great lks being frozen I think sportsmen's direct is trying drum up bussiness??  with last year's video??  they all as in thd shop in the area give false reports to get you close to the water.. just to sell you the bait only to find out there is no ice.. pro baits bad about this too..

Sarina yacht club web cam shows shelf ice on Canada side of huron but rest is open water..  that's the most extent of ice in area it's s 100 by 50 foot area that could break off..  sag bay was colder then this area was might want to check if it's frozen?? As in Sag bay?? Sag bay was 34* at the middle of december before christmas so I am betting temps dropped since then..

BE CAREFUL  on Kent. I have been fishing that lake for years. There is a wicked current that runs through it. Even in good winter conditions, ice thickness can vary wildly.

Yuppers that ice is 3 inch here one inch there and 4 inch there all over the place .. I would avoid now cause of the p-fos the chemical that in the lake.. poisonING us humans and animals that eat out of it..

Probably over by the area they call the Raft.  Justin....the ice report guy did one yesterday that shows some ice but nothing safe yet except by Selfridge boat ramp and the Raft area where there were a couple of people out at each location.  If we get the snow they are forecasting, its gonna hurt the ice making.

the huron flows into lake erie so it wont be long before they say don't eat the fish from erie.
