tip downs and ups.

i'm new to iceshanty.com but have been ice fishing about 40 yrs., have seen a lot of change in gear, homemade and purcrchased, but a couple of days ago on this chat line a fella had a pix of a decsent home made tip up and i'd like to make it, but also he mentioned he had a tip down he showed on this forum.  i'd like to see that and also the tip up again so i can try both. or if anyone else has their own designs i'd like to see them as well,thanks

alls i can say is save ur time  and  buy a jack trap or heritage tip-ups......makes the rest look silly.....and remember save a tree eat a beaver

Check the thread RG's Tip Down Design on the New York board. You might have to go back a few pages but it contains pics, materials list and directions for what looks like a very neat tip down.
