Thanks, for mentioning the tourney, fishermanjake and pikemaster789! It's the old story, though! My idea, my shack, my spot, my auger, my dipper, my bait and my minnow net! Plus, my FOOD and DRINK'S!  :o  The NEPHEW, caught the fish on his tip up!   I, didn't catch the fish!  That's one of the rules!     Just happened to be there for forty-plus minutes, of pure fishing fun!  ;D   My camera, TOO!!  Nephew, wanted to take a picture, of me with the fish. I just said NO!   ::)  ALSO, said!!  " Might as well give me all your ice fishing stuff, you'll never beat that catch!!   ;D

icefishermanmark! Just a few detail's. Length, 57", circumference, at the head, 20.5". Most likely an older male, close to forty years old. Weight, just a guess,  38 to 40 pounds. Took a live 5" Golden shiner. Spooled out the tip up four times, all he could do then, was to hold on and hope the 30lb. Dacron or the 20lb. leader didn't break. Yes Jayswimmer09, in order to get the fish on the ice, I had too over lap two more cuts with the 8' auger. As for time Pasquatch. From flag up to fish back in the hole forty-five minutes. Wasn't out of the water long, I had plenty of time to have the tape and the camera ready.      8)

didn't notice if you disclosed the location - guessing Winnebago system or WI River.
