Just a Question?
« on: Mar 11, 2015, 12:54 PM »
Does anyone else have problems with the spools spinning really hard on the Frabill Arctic Fire Tip-Up, is it just because of the cold, or is there something I can do to make it spin more freely?

You may need to re grease tip up shaft with low temp grease as over time dirt and crud get caught up inside shaft causing it to tighten up good luck fairly simple fix

Have you tried backing off the T a little bit? Frabill doesn't use a spring like most, it just uses a plastic spacer. I actually like this better, but you need to give it a little play. If it has new, light grease, and some play up and down, they will spool silky smooth. You can just use any grease.
