40-up Green Tipups

Is the green finish a sealer or should I seal them with something. I've been using them as is and the bottoms would darken after being in for the day. So I was thinking I might need to get them sealed before next weekend.

I think it is a sealer. I had used a set for a few years that were passed down from my father..quite a few years old and they worked fine, the arms started to bow out a little and the green finish wore off a little but yeah im assuming its a sealer of some sort.
