I went out for about 7 hours yesterday. Ice was in a lot better shape than week before, 5 1/2"- 6 1/2". Didn't hear any cracking or thunderclaps of the ice. Between 3 of us, we caught 1 Crappie and 2 Bluegills (wax worms), and 7 Channel Cats with a combination of minnows and wax worms. Around 3:00 pm, the snow on top of ice started to melt some and was slushie were we was fishing/walking. In total, we drilled about 30 holes and never did get a good bite going. Still had fun and felt relatively safe.
