The grand kids got theirs today. Great program for kids.
They should raise the minimum lengths on the adults though.

On certain species I agree 19 inch smallmouth? Lmao.   I got my pin today as well.

They ended up raising the size on bowfin for adults after the first year, once they realized how common big ones were in Champ. Gotta go species by species, but on some I agree, like bass. Others, maybe lowered, like Brook Trout. Pretty tough to find a MA brookie in this state, unless you are up in the NEK. Even then it can be a challenge, for wild ones anyways.

I don’t participate however I agree the sizes should go up. For instance the MA Regs for in fisherman for our area is a 40” Pike and 24” for browns and rainbows. Good program to keep people out fishing tho
