Beaver Dam Tip Ups
« on: Dec 11, 2016, 12:11 PM »
I have some older beaver dams that spin amazing, I bought some new ones last year and they just don't spin like my older ones. I have greased them and all but they still seem to have some resistance while spinning. Anyone have any tips or tricks to get them to spin more freely?

Take the spools off and polish up the shaft and spool.
Might be a little tight, or some burrs.
Careful don't take too much off.

There just tight cause they're new. Rip 20' of line off them a couple times and put em to work!

I've fished with them most of last season. so figured they would have "broke in" by now. but ill try messing with them, thanks. Just wasn't sure if anyone had any tricks to get them to spin more freely.

Put a power drill on the top of the spindle and spin away. Also a great way to put new line on them.
