Checking the ice
« on: Mar 30, 2019, 08:10 PM »
On my way home from work today I swung by cranberry pond in Sunderland to release the last of my shiners and check the ice.
Zero evidence ice was ever there!

Tried a couple casts with a jig rod just for fun but can’t believe how fast it disappeared. I was on 20” yesterday in southern NH with solid shores.

I was there on Thursday it was one third iced over. Went back Friday and it was gone. Amazing how fast it can go out.

That trunk was not there in 2018 fall!

I can't help but noticed the unusual high rainfalls since last fall have changed the shore shape a lot. I scouted the swift river by the hatchery pipe last friday and several familiar trunks were all washed away to somewhere...
What's cooler than being cool.

I just saw the movie “the guy who killed hitler and then Bigfoot”. Weird name for a weird movie but it was filmed in the area with a couple scenes at cranberry. I got a kick out of seeing the spot on the big screen.
Some cool shots from below the French king bridge too.

This is funny lol!

I found the trailer on youtube and the scene at 1:33 was definitely from cranberry. Here is the link.
