colored hooks for tip ups

I have been using red a gold hooks with a little bit of red or orange yarn tied to the hook. It has been working for me this year when nothing else has.

Wel i do know that in some saltwater fishing situations blood red hooks definately will give you and advantage. 

Most of the time I use gold hooks ice fishing though.  Maybe its time to give the blood red a try too.

i've been using red hooks since i started ice fishing about two years ago.  had a couple of tip ups rigged up sith regular colored hooks and they just did not seen to catch as many fish. red hooks=definite advantage.  i might wanna try gold hooks some time

I use red hooks.  Last year I got creative and added a small gold spinner just above the leader to a couple of my tips and they did seem to produce a bit more than the rest.
