Somebody stop me!
« on: Oct 20, 2006, 04:44 PM »
So I got bored again and this is what happened.

Built using Eskimo tipups and with the new Frabill Artic Siren.

I really need to find other stuff to do.

Those might be hard to spot in the snow.

Thats what the lights and alarm is for.

Actually I prefer the Heritage traps from my other post, but do like this style for fishing close to camp and like to see the top spinning when a fish runs.

RUGERGUNZ,

Do you like the way the Arctic Sirens work?  Notice any problems?  I'm going to be placing an order for about 20 of them and was curious if you noticed any problems with them.  I'm not too worried because Frabill makes some outstanding products and I use a lot of them and haven't had hardly any problems.

Thanks,

Rob Wasser

I haven't had much time to play with the sirens, but the flag sometimes has trouble pulling the pin, I have been adjusting the length of line to the flag and find that the more line you give it, the more momentum the flag gets, but it still doesnt always trip.

But watch out, these things are LOUD.  Sounds like a car alarm.  I doubt I will use the siren portion much, but you can set it to only flash lights.

They seem very well built.

Try using the string to set off the alarm somehow.  That way there will be enough force to pull the pin with ease.
