Just wondering Rat-Man, is there any specific reason why this is true about the line lasting longer if kept in the fridge? I have heard this before. THX

Because it stays cool...excessive heat weakens your line.

I also like the bait pucks.

I reread my post and I keep my fridge between 38-40 not 50 sorry about that. As far as the line in the fridge, sunlight and heat are both bad on Mono, and I no it works from experience.

I raised waxworms for 23 years and by far the best place to keep them is in a wine cooler.  You can adjust the temperature between 50 and 60 degrees and that is ideal.  My refrigerater has always been to cold for them. And the basement to warm in the summer time.
Fisherman's Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
          Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
       I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
           And peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be Judged
              BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
