color dyes for shiners

has anyone tried the various colored shiner dyes sold by bass pro shops?

just wondering if its worth tryin out.

no but did try food coloring didnt seem to work until my brother took dead perch put in a baggie filled with blue food coloring viola blue perch did get line snapped  :o :o :o :o :o who knows
