Cleaning a s/g filter
« on: Sep 26, 2010, 05:50 PM »
Hello everyone,

Recently I showed a bit of info of how to make an s/g filter. (Any one interested in making one feel free to contact me for assistance.)

I figured I'd show you guys what they are all about... besides what I've described. What better way than to see one in action. Thus I made a video of myself cleaning mine out. You can see how much stuff is sitting on the surface... that and a slightly restricted flow indicates it's time for a cleaning.  In total I gave the s/g two decent blow outs... You can see how effective the first one was in the video as the water runs clean very quickly. The second one (not recorded) was just for good measure.

Check it out.

Ed
