Yeah, that is the one I keyed in on.  That realistic perch lure should do well on everything around here.

I really like the looks of that Sunfish jig !   This summer we were at a friends house and LLT was terrorizing the Yellows and sunfish out on the dock, while I was fixing the gutters. :'(  One of the Sunny's she caught was stunned by an aggressive hook set, she felt a little bad about hurting the poor little fishy. He was fluttering around on his side, I said he will either come out of it, or he's bait ! No sooner then I said that, A Big Bass hit him with a huge splash and the cute little sunny was fish food ! The look on LLT's face was PRICELESS ! She's never seen a big Bass topwater strike and she was shocked by the strike up close and personal like that !  :roflmao: Ya that sunny jig will work !!  ;D

Wow they look great! hey surf had a similar expereance with a 5+ pound LMB with one of my boy's when he was 5 catching small sunny's at a local pond, when I threw one back he sat on the surface a little too long and BAM he got munched...So the next one we caught went back with a hook in it and well it didn't take long!! what a fight for a 5 year old on a 3' scooby doo fishing rod!!..lot of fun.....

They were in the Cabelas winter sports catolog that just came out.  Hopefully some of the local shops will get them in as well.

One thing I have to say about Northland is that they seem to be a company of people that love to fish.  I get their email newsletter and the people writing the articles/product descriptions seem to have a general enthusiasm for sport.  Just the impression I get.

I was just at the gander and at another big sporting goods store near me yesterday. They had some of the moxies and another kind. But neither had the minnow trap which is what I'm personally really interested in. I think the perch and the glow perch will work good for pike and walleyes.

I have the new moxies and its shaped alot like the sink trap thats a popular lure on our walleye lake, lightweight spoon that should dart well. I received a few moxies with my large order of #12 hexi-flys ;)

does anyone know why some are jigged from the tail and some from the head? i would think the line should always be tied to the head right?

Yeah I was wondering that myself, I wonder which one would have more action in the water, the moxie minnow with the hooks at the head or the fish fry minnow spoon with the hooks at the tail?
Do both spoons have a different bend to them?
