Title: Bluebird Day
Post by: Guinea on Dec 04, 2021, 06:46 PM
I can't do the pictures (but they would look like every other picture of ice anyway) but I got out and I'm still so excited.

I set some tip ups and hung out on shore for a while, but the itch got me. I pulled a trap and jigged in the sun. About 3" of near black ice, no fish, and a heck of a walk on and off (through some woods and streams) but so worth it.

I almost forgot how awesome this silly thing we do is.

Steph  blue bird day , but super cold!  Wish you had come north for rainbows.   Super ice and fish some fish .  The season is upon is.  Look forward to your reports.
Let me know when you want to come north.  M+M  Denny had annual   rainbow trips.  Maybe Denny would include you?  He knows my secret trout and pike cove but got skunked last time he tried.
Ice is here now.

It was cold, but zero breeze. I'm up for an outing with you. I have friends in the area I could stay with. Let's fish!

Awesome Steph!.. I'm jealous

 Was stuck at work yesterday.

Still to long of a ride for a day trip for me
. But these reports show it's getting closer.

Great job getting out.  I have a hunch. Someday I'll try that spot. Post some pics if you get a good one.

I know the feeling lol. How many times I've seen what everyone else was doing while I was at work!
It was quite the adventure, though. I'll tell you about it over a jigging session. You'll laugh at me.

Salmonemia, nope. That wasn't where I was.  :)

And thanks for the support, guys! As a perennial newbie (13 years in) my confidence in going out alone has increased, but I'm still very careful.

Hoping to get out this weekend if the ice hold through tonight's rain and temps!
