Ice shanty needs a new name !

I really like this site ,as I can  read whats happening around north america.
But the site is very quite in the summer months  .

May be we should call it Ice Shanty Year around .

 I'd suggest you try our soft-water site....or our hunting site...they're right at the bottom of the page.

Or maybe, those other sites that you can connect with if you're not happy here.   ::)

i'm on here 365 days a year. People do mods year 'round., coming up with ideas, just looking to shoot the bull during the off season. Attendance drops off about this time but open water sites drop off come Nov - Feb and start to pick up in Mar.

I like Ice Shanty the way it is. Too many other sites have been ruined by facebook while the shanty keeps chugging along. Guess that means we like it the way things are.

Hell yes!!keep shanty just the way it is!!us regulars like it in the down time of summer even,can have conversations without a bunch of repetitive questions like in the winter.this site is better than Facebook as we are smart to give out tips and techniques but not drop lakes names for all the lurkers unlike fb.

Leave "IceShanty" the way it is.  If you want soft water fishing info or reports after ice fishing go "MyFishFinder" or if hunting is your niche go to "MyHuntingForum".  But leave "IceShanty" alone.

ICESHANTY is a good all-year-round site, yes for some it will slow and others will not even be back until the following season. The choice is up to you quite simply come when you want and you will be surprised by just how many are here year-round. People that pop in and do not post on the offseason just to see what may be on someone's mind will be surprised by the quick response someone somewhere will make in answer to a comment or question.

I totally agree with a name change during the summer months, maybe it could be called www.myfishfinder.com or something?...................... ............     ;D :tipup:

In all honesty, I wish we could change the seasons to match IceShanty’s namesake rather than the other way around.

Leave Ice Shanty the way it is. Like someone else said, if it wasnt for the name I would most likely not be here. I tend to go on Ice Shanty 4-7 times a week but still somehow miss almost all of the give a ways.
