First soft water saugeyes of the year

I got an invitation from a friend to hit a metro water lake for a few hours last night.   I ended up with 2 saugeyes, 17 and 19" respectively.   My friend caught 3 included 1 on his last cast of the night.   3 were caught on jerk baits, and 2 on grubs.

WOW !  That is one big saugeye!  I grew up catching them on the upper Mississippi, never caught one that big. Nicely done!

Fished your spot today, 8-12. No bites, cold & windy, lost 3 lures  >:(  Sometimes I wonder why???

Did see the wind blow an ice sheet onto the dam, that was cool.

And this guy, when I went to check out the boat ramp area.



Guess it beats working  ;D
