Most lakes around here have ice, but it is pretty thin. I spudded through in 2 hits today. Maybe an inch. I could stand on it, but I sure wouldn't jump on it. I will keep ya'll posted.

Livingston county still had lots of lakes iced over but were starting to open back up, nervous to see what the rain this morning and now wind have done, likely starting back over  :'(
Funniest thing about ice fishing for me is when people who know nothing about ice activities try to warn me about the dangers of the ice...

There's still 75 days of winter. I fished til early April before not many years ago, but planked the shores to get on it. Seems like Ma Nature is just off by a month.

I took a ride this morning. Clark Lake is totally open water. Vineyard, and Wamplers have a little open water but is mostly ice covered. Allen lake is open water. Lake Columbia channels have ice but the main lake is open. Skiff Lake has 1 1/2 inches of white ice. I will be going by Devils tomorrow.

Live on devils, lake has lots of open holes and spots with white ice. Middle of the lake wide open. Gonna be lots of varying thickness.

I checked my ice a bit ago. I had an inch of frozen snow, an inch of water, and an inch of ice. Totally different than the 1.5 inches of white ice a day ago. That being said, there are 2 guys on the lake now. I watched them pop a hole. 4 1/2 turns of the auger. Funeral ice.

There are some lakes south of the state line with 4" of ice.  You guys have to have fishable ice somewhere.   Most of the time it's just being on the right body of water.

fished a channel on Columbia today, about 3".  Lots of sorting but at least was fishing.  Clark did not look good, nor did the main part of Columbia.

Wamplers is frozen over but it looks sketchy. Across the street, Round has a lot of open water. Sand lake has a lot of open water. Clark has a long way to go. People were fishing Vineyard today on 4 to 5 inches, but there were a lot of spots hat looked like skim ice.

Got out to Columbia again today, was surprised the ice held up so well over the weekend, but it for sure didn't make any more.  Might be fishing channels the rest of the winter at this rate.  Main part of Columbia did not look good at all.
