Stop in at the store.. those boys work hard at stocking just about what ever you would need.  Bait , drink, boots and they will give the scoop on how the bite is going.  every time I am on the west coast I stop in there...

Swan lake was a mob scene today. We did not fish there, just drove by to check out the rodeo. Itwas in full swing. Many parked on the road at abt 1 PM

it wasn't all that bad out there.we  landed 12 northerns ranging from 20" to 29" they were on fire.i kept 2 27" pike and my bro in law kept a 24" and a 28".ice was turning to crap when I left at 630pm.panfish bite was not good it took all day for 10 gills and a bunch of sorting.not a single person was by us.closest guy was about 70 yards away..

We got to swan at 9:00 am and the parking lot was full. Sorted fish till we had limited with 7+ " fish. Left at 3:00 with 42 gills and 8 specs.

Fished a couple of lakes in northern V.B. / southern Allegan counties yesterday. ...zilch on one; 4 average specks on the other. Lots of fish on the flasher but no takers.   :-\

yeah I  got there at 630am 2nd car there,have to get there  early for a parking spot.i probably could've got a panfish limit but the tip ups were popping 2 at a time all day.
