As I said,  "Just my opinion here but I have corded drills with the hammer setting and would certainly use them for drilling concrete long before I ever use a battery powered one."

I'll stand by what I said and won't argue if you chose to use your cordless drill for hammering in concrete. I have Metabo, Makita and a Milwaukee 1/2" corded hammer drills and unless I am away from a 120V source I would absolutely use them before I use a battery powered one. All three of the corded drills are bigger and much heavier duty than either of my cordless hammer drills.

I'm not arguing with you either just staying if you get one of the heavier duty battery powered drills youlls be amazed at how good they are and perform. I hang gutters and we have to attach down spout to brick sometimes and not having a cord is a savor. Just saying the new cordless heavy-duty hammer drills will out preform corded any day of the week

Agreed! My Milwaukee 2704 and 2804 cordless hammer drills are great drills and absolutely up to the task of drilling concrete. I just mean if I have the choice between 120V cord or 18V battery I always would opt for the 120V. I was building decks and sinking heavy 1/2" lag bolts into concrete sonotubes and liked the weight and heft of the bigger drills. For drilling ice holes nothing I have found beats the light weight Milwaukee cordless fuel 18V brushless drills with 1200 In/Pds of torque so I save them for this duty.
If I agreed with you we would both be wrong!

I can totally see using a corded hammer drill driving 1/2" lags into concrete all day.
Other than something like that I'll take the cordless all day long and mostly cause dragging a cord around sucks

I usually have 4-5 drills working different functions while building decks and I agree the cords are a PITA but we have cords running all over so not a big deal when wall power is available. We also have a power strip loaded up with Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita and Rigid battery chargers all day long. We all have our favorites in drills but my Metabo hammer drill is by far the best for deep concrete lag drilling and a big Milwaukee hole hog one if we need to get real serious. The thing that kills a drill quickest is overheating in my experience and out on the ice we rarely ever see that happen.

You are correct- I corrected the post. There is a similar deal including the Dewalt 999for $299- I think it may have better reviews for heavy use- I am not familiar with Dewalt drill family:

The DCD999 achieves a higher torque rating when paired with the 6ah or higher Flexvolt battery .. I did have a chance to use a Dewalt DCD996 w/6ah Flexvolt battery/Clam plate/8" Eskimo Pistol Bit..it as a beast dragged me down the hole ..I also tried it with a 4 ah battery ..cut well but nothing like that Flexvolt did ... although the DCD996 is not suppose to benefit much via the Flexvolt battery there is a difference in my opinion.

Until 5 PM PT 4/14/21 there is an additional 10% off in the Amazon Warehouse on many items, including those I posted earlier. There are a lot of electric hand warmers, gloves, mittens, and socks. Not enough to make a bad deal into a good deal, but the good deals are better until tomorrow.

Another thanks to Badger 132. I got in on the $39 Lazer auger. Said it was used but when it arrived the box was a bit beat up but it had never been opened and the auger was new.

The boxes can get a little rough after going out and back and out again, but the stuff I have purchased is all in working order. I was not too sure about the flip over shanty when it arrived a few weeks ago, but every part was there and it went together perfect.

They are running additional 20% off on some items- will post more shortly.

Everything I've got has been in new condition as well. I bit on a warehouse deal for the QuickFish 3 when it was an extra 20% off, it was labeled "Very Good" and came double boxed, the original box didn't have any holes or anything, and when I set up the hub it was obviously never unpacked, still had the paper on the windows, etc.

I'll be damned if I can find the Nonook travel cover for $21.30 in the warehouse deal!

Thanks for keeping me posted but apparently I have no clue how to search there.

Scroll down on the page and it should show "Other sellers on Amazon" and click that. May look different on a computer.
