Aqua Vu AVSCT contrast issues

I am having issues with my monitor contrast cutting in and out. If I play with the contrast button I can get a clear picture for a bit. I have ruled out battery and connection issues. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Thanks Big Bobber...I gave that a try but I ended up having to solder in a new pot..she is like new again :)
