pike after dark?

 I always fish lakes with panners, and pike set 2 traps, and go chasing panners. tonight we are going to stay late for ,( hopefully), a dark spec bite. do we leave traps in?  We regularly see flags between 7-noon,,, and 3-dusk.   I also have seen a rash of threads for "lights on traps". are we missin out? It seems for me, gills quit at night , do pike? thanks Mike

Pike do not have the vision for night feeding. They will pretty much such down. Most of the time the lights are for people targeting walleye.
