My best jig would have to be the Pearl Moxy or Fairy Jig made by Arnold.

I have been using this combo for as long as i can remember and it is still a rare day that i get out fished. I tie the blue 1/12 ounce kastmaster on the bottom and two #6 blue glow jigs from Maynard's Tackle 6 to ten inches apart and tip with wax worms. It's funny to see alot of the guys I fish with are using them now.

Watch it, in most states it is illegal to have three lures on one line. It is illegal in Iowa.

Best one lately has been a 2.5mm wolfram jig, in the red color.. with one spike on it.

Sorry and thanks never thought of that, check your fishing regulations before you try this (Pa is three per line), but I am sure it would work fine with the kastmaster and one jig.

I thought that it was the number of hooks.  Should be legal if the spoon doesn't have any hooks on it.

These are pa regs

RODS, LINES, AND HOOKS – An angler may use a maximum of two lines fished either by rod or hand when fishing for gamefish, baitfish or both. It is unlawful for a person to fish with more than two fishing rods at a time. No more than three hooks shall be attached to a line used in fishing (one hook having two or three points is considered a “single hook”). All rods, lines and hooks shall be under the immediate control of the person using them.

Iowa regs allow 2 hooks on a line so I should be fine.  I won't be able to use another pole, but usually don't anyway.

Great ideas everyone guess I might have to put another order in for some new jigs to try.  Keep them coming.  I might sneak out to the lake this afternoon to try out my old reliable fairy jig for now.

The Richard from Jammin Jigs.

That's messed up! I don't think I could ever bring myself to tie one of those on ... ever. Even if the fish really do like it.

Honestly? It's just a joke, don't be scared. lol

I am thinking of tying them on and "accidentally" casting them into friend's boats this summer.

Well then you lose the point of having the spoon. Might as well use a drop-shot weight.

You can have as many lures as you want, but only two can have hooks. The kastmaster with a treble, and two jigs is illegal.

The spoon is an attractor, most fish will be caught on the jigs anyway

In that case, have you ever tried putting the spoon between the two jigs?

I see all these jig names thrown out.  That's kinda funny, I thought everyone was using Marmooshka's.

Has been my go to jig for 12+ years (chartruse green and chartruse orange).  Heavy weight to get down fast and small enough to get the bite (tipped with spikes or waxie).  Really not familiar with too many other jigs.  Seems the gill pill is pretty popular from what I have read on this site.
