Title: May Ice is Nice!

Just got out for one last burbot trip.  It's sure nice fishing off my quad after a very snowy winter.  The ice was just under 24". 
Caught most of a limit of burbot and a couple of lakers, seems the burbot are done spawning, but there's still plenty of fish around the redds feeding on the baitfish that are feeding on the eggs.

Still have better than 4 feet of ice on my lake.
Spring melt starts this week though.

Beautiful !Not all can enjoy the late ice, winter weather, but I do! Very jealous

It's almost done. There were mosquitoes in the bush this weekend.

Yea, Canadian mosquitos are a real problem! Have a few scares to prove it! All good fun, gotta take the good with the bad.

Love this view of your cabin!  Sure is looking nice. 

One of my coworkers fished hardwater this past weekend; we're still in the game but we'll be weeks behind NWT.
