i'm new to this site. it's awesome BTW. i'm looking at getting a Strikemaster 6" hand auger to replace my 20 yr. old Mora that my father-in-law gave me. i have been debating between a Nils and a Strikemaster but would prefer to buy from a local company to support our local industry; i've decided to go with a Strikemaster. I was wondering if anyone has tried the optional off-set handles that can be purchased separately for the Strikemaster, similar to the Nils? this option is an extra $20 or so. will the off-set handles improve drilling efficeincy and ease, or should i stick with the stock handles?
