Simcoe producing like usual! Nice fish!

Gogebic hasn't been half as productive as that this year.

Thanks guys. And no 2 pound perch but lots 1 1/4 to 11/2.At Gogebic you can get a two pounder but not many at Simcoe but lots more to catch.they seem to grow the around 14" and that's it although I know there are bigger ones in there.Ontario province records is 15.5" and 2.48 pounds and not caught in Simcoe

Simcoe is enormous.... I'd bet the biggest perch in Simcoe is bigger than the biggest perch is gogebic ....  Never know really

Might be but the wigglers they eat in Gogebic make them weigh quite a bit as 14" at Gogebic could be near two pounds but not at Simcoe

Just my two cents, I have heard simcoe has incredible perch fishing, but of course you will be spending more $$ to get up there. May be nore, expensive for a guide as well for travel costs.

Another great place to consider is lake st. Clair if you are in lower michigan. The perch fishing was great there this year. Only went once, but caught around 150-200 fish with a buddy and kept over 30 keepers with the largest being up to 12".
