Anyone know if there’s safe ice in the north central area of Mass. just wanted to know if it’s even worth going up that way to scout
-
I have seen people standing on ice up here, but I am sure it is changing all the time...

Most ice is still in the "you could die" stage in the Leominster area. Ashburnham could be close and the Warwick State Forest would be your best chance - Royalston.
-
could check Moore's or Clubhouse in Warwick.
-
Yes there is ice to be found. Anywhere from open water to 8in I have found

Best to pick 5 or so ponds in a line heading nw . Start at the closest and check as you go. Meaning start in north central mass and make your last pond a place you know is good, unfortunately that's the Berkshire's. Templeton, Orange area too start and Berkshire's to end.

Fished in N. Central mass yesterday. 3-4 inches of ice with 2 inches of slush on top. On the ice at 8 fished until 2. Snow of varying rates throughout the day. Finished with 5 pickerel and 3 bass.

I just had to drive to Springfield from Scituate and I can’t believe every body of water I passed on mass pike was wide open
