Iwas wondering if anyone has used them and how they worked.I have nailed plenty of open water trout on them and might try them through the ice.A list of fish used for or caught would be helpful.

I know they work for perch.
Especially the smallest ones tipped with a few spikes.
;)

Yes they do work well, at least in some small ponds in this area. I've done best with the chrome in the smallest size. Never tipped one though. Brook trout was the main target with phoebe. Didn't know if you were talking brook or rainbow but they probably work on rainbows too. Rich

The smallest gold one tipped with a waxworm will do good on crappies.

I never tried them on crappies. I will though, thanks for the tip Polar. Look out crappieville. Rich

One other thing:
Make sure you use a good swivel!
Phoebes will twist your line like nothing else...

yellow perch in shallow water, less than 10 ft., small pheobes are a killer lure, spend the extra dollar a good small smooth swivel is a must,
