I've used the search function and seen some great threads and photos on here regarding sled mods. I've gotten some good ideas. Right now, I'm looking for some advice on auger mount mods, specifically. Keeping in mind that I am seeking a minimalist approach (no frame, just mounts), what are some successes and/or failures you have experienced with auger mounts?
What approach yielded a sturdy mount for you? What should I avoid? Lengthwise or sideways mount?
I have a standard-style Otter sled with a lip on the top rail.
