First outing of 2022 started off very slow, spent over 5 hours fishing first 40 holes with not 1 bite. 41st hole produced a surprise, didn't even know there were pike in this lake!

I prefer them coated in seasoned bread crumbs and pan fried in butter with some lemon. Find that baking is OK, but doesn't really do them justice.

i like baking them because of the bones. they are sticking out the top of fillet when cooked. i can just pluck them all out and shovel it in. lol i never tried cutting them out of the fillet before.

I fillet everything I keep for the table. Not 1 bone left by the time they go in the pan @)
