Whats the deal with the 60 degree weather?? one week we get snow and the next im walking around in shorts and a t-shirt I guess thats michigan weather for you haha. I was hoping to be on the ice before the end of november but thats looking pretty sketchy. accuweathers calling for a big drop in temps, lets hope they're right this time....

It got into the 70's here in Alpena the last two days and I would be out in my boat right now except for unfavorable winds. Fishing for whitefish is excellent in Thunder Bay right now and lake trout hits are even more plentiful. You can't keep the lake trout (out of season), but they are lots of fun in shallow water.

Yes, the whitefish are in and I'm heading out in my boat in about 30 minutes.

I was out bow hunting in snow all weekend. Just checked the forecast and it looks pretty promising, a few warmer days but some nice lows. Will hopefully be ice fishing by the very end of november or first week of december.....fingers crossed

might take a trip up to houghton in early December if you're interested, have heard of good perch lakes up there.

Amen to that iam ready .The only bad thing is i dont get to have my vexlar that my wife bought me  till x mas this year
